Chapman Nissan is committed to the practice of safeguarding customer's personal identity and information by promoting the use of fair information practices. This privacy policy has been created to demonstrate our organization's firm commitment to privacy and to inform you of our practices concerning the collection and use of the information that you provide to us. Gramm Leach Bliley Act
Chapman Nissan complies with the requirements of Title V of the Gramm Leach Bliley (GLB) Act, 15 U.S.C. §6801 through §6810, and the Federal Trade Commission's implementing regulation, Regulation P, 16 C.F.R. Part 313 ("Regulation P"), as both relate to the disclosure and protection of non-public personal Information for customers with regard to the authorized distribution and intended use of customer's financial information to other parties. Chapman Nissan will comply with the GLB and Regulation P for all customer non-public personal information received, transferred, or obtained from the use of this site or from a party.
Collection of Information
Chapman Nissan may collect and use personal information to respond to requests for our services or to provide information about our services that may be of value. Security Safeguard Procedures
Chapman Nissan uses a variety of security safeguards to protect information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. We provide access to personal information to Chapman Nissan employees and other authorized parties on a "need to know" basis only. In addition, we require that Chapman Nissan employees and other authorized parties attend a privacy training program and sign an acknowledgement that they have read, understand, and agree to the terms of the company's confidentiality and privacy policies regarding the collection, use, and safeguarding of customer information.
Chapman Nissan also uses state of the art Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing personal information transmitted to or from Chapman Nissan's website. We maintain up to date firewalls, and use anti-virus software that updates automatically.
Sharing/Disclosing Information with Third Parties
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements, including Affiliated, Triad, Citizen's Bank, Drive Financial Services, Wilmington Trust, CPS, WFS Financial, Wells Fargo Auto Finance, CitiFinancial, Wachovia Dealer Services, Chase Prime, SunTrust, Chase Custom Subprime, NMAC/IFS, National Standard, Capital One Auto Finance, Bank of America, National Preferred, Huntington National Bank, and AmeriCredit.
We may make such disclosures about you as a consumer, customer or former customer.
We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer, to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.
Storing Information
Chapman Nissan maintains electronic loan application information and hardcopy data. We protect all personal information in a locked, secure environment. We destroy, in a secure manner, records concerning non-public customer information in accordance with an industry records retention policy.
Privacy Related Issues
Chapman Nissan is committed to customer service and privacy. We restrict access to non-public personal information about you to "those employees who need to know information to provide products or services to you." We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
